About the instructor
A little bit about me:
My name is Dr. Bridgette Montgomery. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a National Certified Sex Offender Treatment Specialist, and a Trauma Disruptor and Educator, with over 35 years of experience in the mental health field. I hold a Doctorate in Social Work, with a focus on Leadership and Education, as well as a Master’s in Social Work, a Master’s in Nonprofit Management, and a Master’s Certification in Education, specializing in Special Education. I am certified in treating trauma with two specialized training certifications: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
As a Black female entrepreneur, I am the founder and owner of two community ventures: one that gives back to professionals and another that treats social, emotional, and behavioral disturbances stemming from trauma-related events. I am the owner and CEO of Bridge of Love II LLC, a private practice group in Newtown Square, PA, where I offer a range of services, including individual, couples, group, and family therapy. Additionally, as the founder and owner of RAAPS, a state board licensing exam preparation program, I provide primarily LCSW and LPC supervision, professional consultation, and State Board Licensing exam preparation tutoring (a 6-week course) for those pursuing social work or mental health licensure.
I specialize in treating trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, OCD, social media addiction, and forensic work with sex offenders. My extensive experience and expertise in these areas have established me as a trusted and respected professional in the field of mental health.
